Review Jacob by Jacquelyn Frank

Jacob (Nightwalkers, #1)

Goodreads Blurb:
Since time began, there have been Nightwalkers - the races of the night who live in the shadows of the moonlight. Love with humans is absolutely forbidden, and one man makes certain to uphold this ancient law: Jacob, the Enforcer...For 700 Years, He has resisted temptation. But not tonight...Jacob knows the excuses his people give when the madness overtakes them and they fall prey to their lust for humans. He's heard every one and still brought the trespassers to justice. Immune to forbidden desires, uncontrollable hungers, or the curse of the moon, his control is total...until the moment he sees Isabella on a shadowy New York City street. Saving her life wasn't in his plans. Nor were the overwhelming feelings she arouses in him. But the moment he holds her in his arms and feels the soft explosion of her body against his, everything changes. Their attraction is undeniable, volatile, and completely against the law. Suddenly everything Jacob has ever believed is inflamed by the heat of desire...Bring on the night

My Thoughts:
Wow! Ok I know I start a lot of my reviews with the word Wow but it is true this book definitely deserves a Wow! Now I am going to be honest and confess that I had not heard of Jacki before 2 days ago. My Lovely husband picked up this book for me on a recommendation from my lovely local book store rep. I was amazed at how much I loved this book.

This is paranormal romance at it's best. Jacki incorporates everything about paranormal that I love. This story has all aspects, Vampires, Demons, Lycanthropes the whole Night World community. Now this is the first book in the Nightwalker series by Jacki. This one focus' on Jacob. He is an Enforcer for the Demon community. He makes sure that no Demon's harm humans therefore destroying themselves in the process. Despite what the humans have been made to believe the Demons are not evil. Quite the opposite. They just want to co exist peacefully and unnoticed. But of course there are a select group of people who do know the existence of the NightWorld community and wish to destroy them.

Isabella is a librarian who has always felt like she doesn't belong in her current life. There is something about the night that calls to her and she has never been able to figure out why until she meets Jacob that is. This is an amazing love story. Jacob and Isabella are not meant to be together. It just shouldn't physically be allowed but for some reason unknown to them they have this weird connection that neither of them can escape. But Jacob and Isabella have been destined to be together whether they know it or even want to admit it. This is a great story of good vs evil. Even when the "evil" is not who you would expect.

This is definitely a must read for all paranormal romance fans. It took me a total of 6.5 hours to read! I just could not put it down no matter how hard I tried.. not that I tried very hard I will admit :)

If you have been in the dark about Jacquelyn's work like I have go out and Pick up Jacob!

I give this read 5/5 hearts!
