Goodreads Synopsis:
Everything about Jessie Gillmansen’s life changed when her mother died. Now even her hometown of Junction is changing.  Mysterious dark things are happening. All Jessie wants is to avoid more change. But showing a hot new guy around Junction High, she’s about to discover a whole new type of change. Pietr Rusakova is more than good looks and a fascinating accent—he’s a guy with a dangerous secret. And his very existence is sure to bring big trouble to Jessie’s small town.  It seems change is the one thing Jessie can’t avoid…

My Thoughts:
Do you think that your life is complicated? Well then you haven't met Jessie yet. Her life is the epitome of complicated. After loosing her mom in a horrific car crash and her best friend being injured in the same car crash Jessie was barely living her life. And going through high school not in the "in" crowd hasn't made Jessie's life any easier.  But she has a solid group of friends and is learning to cope day by day.

So when Pietr Rusokav and his family show up, Jessie's life is sent into a tailspin. This mysterious Russian seems to have a magnetic force that attracts the attention of every girl in school including her best friend Sarah. Her life just got even more complicated then she ever wanted.

But Pietr's family secret is more than Jessie ever could have expected. And her attraction to Pietr isn't making it any easier.

I absolutely loved 13 to Life. It is an amazing story of loss, deception, betrayal. It is also the ultimate story of love and loyalty.

I adored this story and it has all the elements of a book that I love. There was such a great connection between the characters and an amazing plot. As soon as I thought I had the book figured out Shannon threw in more loops that I was not expecting. A gripping read that kept me on my toes.

An amazing YA. I highly recommend 13 to Life to anyone who loves the paranormal and hot Russian Werewolves.
