Goodreads Synopsis:
City of Fallen Angels is the fourth book in the bestselling series The Mortal Instruments.

“City of Fallen Angels takes place two months after the events of City of Glass. In it, a mysterious someone’s killing the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine’s Circle and displaying their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to provoke hostility between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, leaving tensions running high in the city and disrupting Clary’s plan to lead as normal a life as she can — training to be a Shadowhunter, and pursuing her relationship with Jace. As Jace and Clary delve into the issue of the murdered Shadowhunters, they discover a mystery that has deeply personal consequences for them — consequences that may strengthen their relationship, or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, internecine warfare among vampires is tearing the Downworld community apart, and only Simon — the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side — can decide the outcome; too bad he wants nothing to do with Downworld politics. Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

My Thoughts:
After the War in Idris, Clary and Jace are back in New York. Clary has started her training to be a Shadowhunter and learning how to use her power. The Accords have finally made it so that the Downworlder's and the Shadowhunters are living at peace for the first time.
She can finally be with Jace and her life is finally where she wants it to be. But when Jace starts detaching himself from her and becoming withdrawn she doesn't know what to think. She sets out to find away to help Jace come to grips with his past and move forward. But this just leads them down a path that no one was expecting.

Someone is killing Shadowhunter's and leaving them in each territory of the Downworlder's someone who wants to cause chaos amongst the peace that they have finally accomplished. Everyone that Clary has grown to depend on and look to for help cannot help her anymore. Simon being a new vampire has his own issues to deal with. Since Clary gave him The Mark of Cain everyone wants a piece of him. Not only is he a Daywalker but he cannot be killed now. Everyone wants to be allies with Simon but Simon just wants to be normal. But he is quickly beginning to learn that isn't a possibility for him.

The young Shadowhunter's are all put through a test as they try to figure out who wants Simon, what is going on with Jace and Clary and who is killing the Shadowhunters. They never could have expected who is behind all of there troubles.

The amazing Mortal Instruments series continues with book four. Cassandra Clare never ceases to amaze me with her amazing writing style and her imagination. She is an author that can captivate and keep me hooked from page one.
A gripping read that leaves you begging for more. The books don't last long enough for me I cannot get enough. I am absolutely in love with the Mortal Instruments.

  2. This series is so good! I think the series is a mixture between twilight and the percy jackson series cause clary had to pick between two boys and there fightning demons so its like percy. There was also something going on between annabeth and percy. Cant wait till the next book comes out!!! Such a cliffhanger!!
