Goodreads Synopsis:

An impossible truth. An impossible love.
After a summer spent reclaiming her sanity and trying to forget the boy she fell in love with—the boy who must not exist, cannot exist, because she knows that he is dead—Abbey returns to Sleepy Hollow, ready to leave the ghosts of her past behind. She throws herself into her schoolwork, her perfume-making, and her friendship with Ben, her cute and funny lab partner, who just might be her ticket to getting over Caspian once and for all.
But Abbey can never get over Caspian, and Caspian has no choice but to return to her side, for Caspian is a Shade, and Abbey is his destiny. They are tied not only to each other, but also to the town of Sleepy Hollow, and to the famous legend that binds their fates—a legend whose dark truths they are only beginning to guess....

My Thoughts:
The Haunted is a great sequel to The Hollow. I was very impressed with the way the Jessica took the story.

I was thrilled to see more of Ben. But I find that Ben and Abbey were left in a weird situation. Both of them are still coping over the loss of Kristen and they find themselves spending more time togther. Will this lead to something beyond friendship? Or will it bring things in perspective for Abbey?

I love that Abbey and Caspian are able to "be" with eachother more throughout The Haunted. I absolutely loved this story. I loved how things between Abbey and Caspian seem to be heating up even though they cannot truly be together.

I felt like Caspian was still trying to pull back from Abbey even though he knows that there is no way that he could ever stay away from her. He wants what's best for her but in the end is it really? Just when things start to seem like they will settle down for Abbey and Caspian a brand new twist turns their world upside down.

I absolutely love love love this story. I love how this great story has taken aspects of one of my most favorite classics "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" and I love that Jessica has brought a fresh and new feel to it.

Such an amazing series and I am thrilled to continue Caspian and Abbey's story.

I Give This 4/5 Hearts!
