Goodreads Synopsis:
In the beginning, there's a boy standing in the trees . . . .

Clara Gardner has recently learned that she's part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has apurpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn't easy.
Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place—and out of place at the same time. Because there's another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara's less angelic side.
As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she'd have to make—between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?
Unearthly is a moving tale of love and fate, and the struggle between following the rules and following your heart.

My Thoughts:
I really enjoyed Unearthly. It was a beautiful story that was really sweet to read. I enjoyed trying to figure out what Clara's purpose was with her.

I loved all of the character's. I enjoyed Angela a lot. Her crass and sarcastic nature made her a funny and lovable character. She kind of got on my nerves sometimes with the way she came on so strong but that just added to the overall character and I loved her.

I thought Maggie was the epitome of strength. She is such an amazingly strong and steadfast character. She was the rock that Jeremy and Clara needed.

I thought Tucker was absolutely amazing. I think he was one of my favourite character's of the entire book. I loved him so much. His feelings for Clara are so painstakingly obvious that I wanted to kick Clara for not realizing it sooner.

I liked Christian too. You can tell that there is something undeniable between him and Clara but it's nice to go through it with the characters, and struggle with them as they try to figure it out.

I loved Unearthly. I thought it was amazingly written. It was beautiful and pure and heart-warming. I thoroughly enjoyed going through the journey with Clara and I cannot wait to continue the journey with Hallowed.

I Give This 4/5 Hearts!

  1. I love this book! I wasn't prepared to love it but I ended up seriously crushing on it. I'm usually not a love triangle kinda gal. Gosh, I'm saying love a lot. Anyways, I enjoyed the love triangle and was very shocked by the end. Great book!
