Goodreads Synopsis:
If he had been with me, he wouldn't have died.

Throughout their whole childhood, Finn and Autumn were inseparable—they finished each other's sentences, they knew just what to say when the other person was hurting. But one incident in middle school puts them in separate social worlds come high school, and Autumn has been happily dating James for the last 2 years. But she's always wondered what if...

The night she's about to get the answer is also one of terrible tragedy.

My Thoughts:
Heart-breaking,sad, unbelievably beautiful. These are the words that I would use to describe this incredible book.

Autumn has always been a little different. A little weird. But she has always had Finny. Finny never cared that she never fit in. He didn't care that she was different. He always loved her for her. Best friends since the day they were born. They did everything together. Everyone assumed that one day they would be more than just friends.

But as they got older they drifted apart and soon they were no longer best friends. Autumn finally found a group of friends who understand her and a boyfriend that loves her. Finny becomes the popular boy that Autumn knew he always should have been.

Autumn realizes too late that Finny is the one that she has loved all along.

You could tell from the very beginning that Finny was more interested in Autumn than just a friend. I was kind of frustrated with her at times. It was almost like a "hey wake up! How can you not tell how he feels about you?"  I am pretty sure I yelled at my book out loud once or twice.

I bawled my eyes out. An open-sobbing, ugly cry at the end of this book. This book will teach you not to wait to tell the one that you love how you truly feel. The end is so emotional that you cannot help but feel like a little piece of your heart broke as well!

I really loved this book and I highly recommend it to all who love YA Contemp!
