Review Heavenly by Jennifer Laurens

Heavenly (Heavenly, #1)

Blurb from Goodreads
I met someone who changed everything. Matthias. My autistic sister's guardian angel. Honest. Inspiring. Funny. Hot. And immortal. That was the problem. What could I do? I did what any other girl would do-I fell in love with him. Zoë's sister darts in front of cars. Her brother's a pothead. Her parents are so overwhelmed; they don't see Zoë lost in her broken life. Zoë escapes the only way she knows how: partying. Matthias, a guardian sent from Heaven, watches over Zoë's autistic sister. After Zoë is convinced he's legit, angel and lost girl come together in a love that changes destiny. But Heaven on Earth can't last forever.

My Thoughts:

I LOVED it! I am serious I loved this book. It was extremely sad but in a good way. It is one of those books that you will openly cry to! I am not kidding. It was really really sad but in a good way! Jennifer's adaptation of a young girl trying to deal with her younger sister who has autism, her younger brother who has an addiction problem, plus her own every day issues was amazing. I loved this book and I believe anyone who has a soul at all would love this book also.

The relationship between Matthias and Zoe is a great one. Great balance between the two characters. And Matthias is just great himself! He alone is a great reason to read this book!!

This is a great YA but its perfect for anyone over 14.
Jenn did an amazing job and I cannot wait to read the next two!

  1. Great review. I enjoyed this too and Penitence. Laurens writes amazing characters. Just waiting for my copy of Absolution to arrive.
