Goodreads Synopsis:
From the author of the popular Weather Warden series comes the debut of an exciting new series set in Morganville, Texas, where you would be well advised to avoid being out after dark.

College freshman Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. When Claire heads off-campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life, but they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

My Thoughts:
I cannot believe it has taken me this long to read this book. Rachel sucked me into the Morganville world immediately. The character's were feisty, the plot line was incredible and the writing style was brilliant.

I loved the relationship that Claire had with Shane, Eve and Michael. I loved the villain's and even the sub character's. You could tell each character apart distinctly. I had no problem forgetting the real world and living with the Morganville world for 240 pages. I was disappointed when I had to leave.

As soon as I thought I had the story figured out Rachel hit with a huge plot changer and one of the most exciting cliffhanger's I've read in a while.

Definitely an exciting start to what I can only imagine to be an amazing series if Rachel keeps up with the same momentum that she had with Glass Houses.

I Give This 5/5 Hearts!
