Review ARC of Insight by Jamie Magee

Insight

Goodreads Blurb:

Before that fateful summer night, Willow had balanced the insight of emotion, and the vivid images. That night, the figure in her nightmare marked her wrist with a star, giving her father no choice but to tell Willow a family secret that would abruptly change life, as she knew it, forever. Before Willow had time to absorb the shock of her father's secret, her soul mate that had shared every stunning dream with her, found her, and darkness captured her closest friends. In order to save them, she must weave through broken myths and the undeniable power of the Zodiac. In the end, Willow discovers that at the moment of our birth we are all given a divine gift.

My thoughts:

Insight by Jamie Magee is an amazing story of fate, destiny and love. It is definitely a must read for me. I know that I will not due her book justice with my review but I will try my best. I had a hard time not including spoilers.

Willow Haywood is no ordinary girl. With a unique power to help spirits find peace she has lived her life filled with nightmares and pain. Not knowing exactly why she is the way she is, Willow has learned to cope with her unique abilities as best as she can. The only resolve she has is from her dreams of her blue-eyed boy. Not knowing exactly who he is or what he means to her, but she does know that she loves him and is meant to be with him. Willow has always kept her abilities to herself. The only person who has the slightest idea of what she can do is her bestfriend Dane. When Willow gets caught by her father one night helping a spirit she finds out that she is not alone.

Willow finds out that her father is just like her and she is from another Dimension. He came to find his soul mate. It is time for her to go home back to where she was meant to be. But when a stranger comes to town they realize that the danger that Willow is in is so much more than her father could have imagined. He has spent the last 18 years trying to protect her but her fate has found her even across dimensions.

As Willow's father takes his family back home to Chara there is something very important that they left out. Landen who is Willows soul mate.  The moment Landen and Willow set eyes on each other they know that they are suppose to be together. Landen is the blue-eyed boys that Willow has dreamed of her entire life.

But nothing is as it seems for Landen and Willow. Even though they have now found each other, they cannot simply be. There are forces beyond their control that will test them and their love for each other to the max. Fate has a difficult path in store for Landen and Willow.
An amazing story about soul mates that I have read in a long time. I felt extremely connected to Jamie's characters. I had no problem being totally immersed in her story. I am desperately awaiting the sequel to Insight. I highly recommend this story to anyone who loves YA and fantasy fiction. Definitely a great read. Jamie is an amazing debut author.

I give this 5/5 Hearts!
