My Thoughts:

Captivating, fast-paced and highly original, The Brokenhearted will suck you in until you can’t get enough. This was such a refreshing read. The originality of The Brokenhearted was a welcome change of pace. I was extremely surprised at how much I enjoyed this book.
One girl’s desperate attempt to live up to her parents’ expectations and play the darling, dutiful daughter comes crashing down when she meets Gavin. A boy from the wrong side of the tracks show she has fallen desperately in love with, she knows her parents would never approve. Their romantic affair turns disastrous when Gavin is kidnapped and Anthem needs to find a way to come up with the ransom money or Gavin dies. But after a horrible accident claims Anthem’s life and she wakes up to realize nothing is what it seems and her life as she knew it is over-the old Anthem is gone and someone she never thought she would be has taken her place.
Anthem is a great heroine. Her transformation throughout the book is great. I love the growth she makes and how she grows from this naïve girl into one who starts taking matters into her own hands. Her quest for vengeance becomes so much more.

I loved every second of this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to read something new and original.
