Goodreads Synopsis:
Two misfits.
One extraordinary love.

Eleanor
... Red hair, wrong clothes. Standing behind him until he turns his head. Lying beside him until he wakes up. Making everyone else seem drabber and flatter and never good enough...Eleanor.

Park... He knows she'll love a song before he plays it for her. He laughs at her jokes before she ever gets to the punch line. There's a place on his chest, just below his throat, that makes her want to keep promises...Park.

Set over the course of one school year, this is the story of two star-crossed sixteen-year-olds—smart enough to know that first love almost never lasts, but brave and desperate enough to try.

My Thoughts:
This was such an emotional story that broke my heart and put it back together over and over again. There is a timeless beauty to Eleanor and Park that can be read and loved for generations to come. This epic love story is one that will last forever.

I am so happy that this book was recommended to me. To think that I passed by it a hundred times at the book store and never once bothered to check it out. The whole don't judge a book by it's cover definitely applies to this book. I am grateful to have been able to read and share these words.

To say that I cried an ocean at the end is putting it mildly. My face was all blotchy because it was a genuine heart wrenching sob that took place. Two completely different people who come together and love each other so fiercely that you cannot help but feel ever word that was written. It was a life-changing read. If you have not yet read Eleanor and Park please do not make the same mistake that I did.

Eleanor is a very quirky, socially awkward girl who catches Park's eye and he cannot quite figure out why. She is nothing like the girls who he would normally notice and yet Eleanor's shy personality and her sad demeanor shout to Park.

Park is an average boy who is neither popular nor an outcast. He stays on the fringes but never has an issue with anyone. Eleanor is the last person that Park should get involved with but he just cannot help himself. This sad lonely girl needs rescuing and he believes that he is the one who can save her.

A whirlwind romance that will leave you breathless. Eleanor and Park will speak volumes to young love.
Do not waste another moment. Go out and buy this book. If you are anything like I am you will not regret it.
